As Beth Israel transitioned to Mount Sinai Beth Israel it became clear that they were going to experience a thorough re-branding effort. The administration decided to enlist GDS to perform a full, comprehensive wayfinding study and use this to design a brand new interior and exterior signage system. Our project management staff conducted an in depth walk thru to get a feel for the patient and visitor experience. They used this exercise to develop a plan of action that included the delivery of message schedules, design specifications, fabrication timelines and projected install phase breakdown.

Through meetings with the team at Mount Sinai Beth Israel we were able to select a new set of standards for all signage that would be implemented on campus. The new family of signs displayed a complete color designation system working in conjunction with high end brushed aluminum finishes to help drive pedestrian traffic throughout the facility with ease. What was ultimately achieved was a fully functioning and aesthetically pleasing system that speaks to the high level of professionalism that is Mount Sinai.
